Engine and Mileage of 2015 Ford Transit Connect
Two engines are available in this vehicle. The base engine is 4-cylinder 2.5 liter Duractec. It has the power of 169 horses @ 6000 rpms and raises a torque of 171 lb.-ft. @ 4500 rpms. The city/highway mileage given by this engine is 21/24 mpg. The optional engine is direct-injected 1.6 liter EcoBoost, which produces power of 178 horses @ 5700 rpms and torque of 184 lb.-ft. @ 2500 rpms. Its mileage has not been disclosed yet. However, the company has announced that this engine can use only premium gasoline. It has front wheel drive and the power to the wheels is sent via 6-speed manual transmission.
Price and Release Date
The base cost of this cargo van is $22,330 and can reach up to $23,855. It will be released in the US market in late 2015.
