The exterior is sporting a body kit with a worthy RS badge. The front end presents a large grille trapezoidal and it is associated by a splitter in the front extending down. It presents the intercooler in a nice view. The outboard openings are large that keeps the front bumper air to cool front brakes and fog lamps and vertically mounted. In fact, the side profile represents very much the RS style as each wheel arch is widened to accommodate 19 inch light alloy wheels. The rear end design looks appealing with a gigantic aerodynamic diffuser and this helps car to accomplish better force while reducing the drag. There is no usage of lightweight materials and is now available in four colors blue, gray, black and white.

The new interior is replete featuring a flat-bottomed steering wheel, standard Recaro sports seats and ending with a multitude of badges. The entire package has alloy sports pedals, additional instrument cluster on the center console top and a new shifter with matching graphics to display the boost pressure, oil  pressure and oil temperature. The new model offers SYNC connectivity to access number of features such as the climate control system, sat-nav, audio system, 8 inch touch screen or voice commands. This car can also find a race track and SYNC will help with directions to any public circuit that is at the closest. The steering wheel looks good in leather wrapped rim and the alloy pedal covers look unique with the graphics. All the amenities offered are exceptional and the standard is the heavily bolstered Recaro-brand sport seats.

Engine and Mileage of 2016 Ford Focus RS

The car features 2.3-liter, EcoBoost, four-cylinder engine delivering 316 horsepower. The intake is improved ensuring better airflow, while the exhaust features an electronically controlled valve to give higher/lower sound output. It will cover 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

The starting price of this model is expected to be close to $40,000 in the U.S. It will hit the market by the end of 2015.

The new car does not have many changes, but has added several scoops and wings for cooling and down force throughout the car. 2016 Ford Focus RS package have functional changes, not just cosmetic.

2017 Ford Focus RS is a modified version of Focus Compact. To be manufactured in the Saarlouis (Germany) plant of the company, this sports car will compete with Audi S4 and Volkswagen Golf R.

The exterior of the vehicle has not seen much alteration than what is seen in the regular Focus 5-door hatchbacks. However, the appearance has been given more force and the company has provided more cooling facilities in the car. Through the front openings and the grille, a lot of ventilation is offered to the brakes and engine. The rear diffuser also allows cooling air to get inside the car from below. The colors available are blue, white, gray and black. 19-inch wheels are standard in the sports car and various designs are available among which a forged version also features that is lightweight and high-performing.

The interior is striking with the new steering wheel having a flat bottom and a leather-covered rim along with Recaro-brand sports seats. The center console features gauges that show oil pressure/ temperature and turbocharger boost pressure. You will also notice a special RS graphics included instrument cluster and alloy pedal covers. Regular Focus features are there such as parking sensors, 10-speaker sound system by Sony and Sync multimedia system with navigation.

Engine and Mileage of 2017 Ford Focus RS

This awesome sports car is equipped with the same engine that adorns the new Mustang albeit the former has an upgraded version. It is a turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.3 liter EcoBoost unit. It has been mounted transversely. The modifications have allowed the unit to become more powerful. It gives power of clearly above 315 horsepower. Torque figures are not yet available.

The power of the engine to the wheels is given through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. It is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph within 5 seconds. It has a 4-wheel drive which is able to push 70% of the offered torque to the rear wheels. Furthermore, it can also thrust 100% of that torque to either rear wheel as per requirement. These capabilities have been rendered possible because of the two electronic clutching systems coupled with unique torque vectoring controls. Mileage has not been revealed yet.

Price and Release Date

It will cost between $17,170 and $24,370. The car will hit the US market anytime in late 2016.

The car made its debut in early 2015 but will arrive in the global market only in 2016. It uses an improved version of Mustang engine that is 2.3 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost unit. 2017 Ford Focus RS is expected to be more powerful and performance-driven on the tracks and roads than its predecessors.
